If a fault happens "now and then", it cannot be solved without catching the moment. A data logger records the machine continuously, so you can go back to the fault and see what happened.
The unit connects to the machine’s communication bus and, where needed, directly to sensors. We decide together which data is recorded and how often — recording the data that explains the problem beats recording everything.
We see three typical uses. Fault analysis: the conditions under which an intermittent problem repeats emerge from the log. Utilisation reporting: how many hours and at what load the machine actually worked settles disputes in warranty and rental. Predictive maintenance: drift in temperature and pressure trends is noticed before a failure occurs.
Vibration, dust, a wide temperature range and supply fluctuation are the reality for any device on a machine. The logger is selected accordingly, with buffering and safe-write logic so data is not lost when supply drops. Data is retrieved over USB, memory card or a remote connection.
